Location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital - Main Desk - Wausau, Wisconsin We are seeking a part time Guest Services Representative who will have a powerful impact on Aspirus' mission to deliver a compassionate and excellent patient experience. Serve as the first point of contact for our patients, families and visitors by exemplifying personal warmth and patient engagement, professionalism, discretion, and provide solutions in anticipation of our patients' needs. Responsibilities will include: Acknowledge and greet every patient verbally, with eye contact in a warm and welcoming manner. Gives total attention to patient and listens to what patients are saying and is conscious of non-verbal clues to patient's status. Obtain and maintain complete and accurate registration records. Seeks to personally provide resolution to patient issues/needs or personally hands off to a more suitable level of staff member. Answers telephones and directs callers in a courteous and helpful manner. Demonstrates proficiency in a variety of computer operations as determined by the department. Assists with mailings as requested. Maintains a positive public relations image with patients, physicians, co-workers, customers and other departments. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. One to two years' experience of customer service desired. Previous medical experience beneficial. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information. Knowledge of basic computer skills and phone etiquette. Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, under pressure, with time restraints. Ability to cope with rapidly changing demands for records (fast-paced work environment). Ability to file and maintain patient records, files, and other correspondence. Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to all phases of work.
